The University of Iowa moved up one spot in the latest rankings of the nation’s best public universities published by the magazine U.S. News & World Report.
The magazine places Iowa 33rd in its 2017 edition of the “Top Public National Universities”, the highest of any university in the state. The UI is currently ranked 82nd in the “Best National Universities” category, which contains 300 U.S. public, private, and for-profit institutions.
The UI’s Henry B. Tippie College of Business and the College of Engineering are once again highly rated by U.S. News & World Report.
The Tippie College of Business ranked 33rd among all public and private universities and 21st among public universities for 2017.
The College of Engineering checks in at 41st among public universities with doctoral programs. Among all public and private universities, the College of Engineering is ranked 63rd.
The UI also made the “National Universities” list of the 2016 Best Colleges for Veterans. The UI ranked 50th among all publics and privates, up 15 spots from last year. Among publics, it was ranked 24th.
