From A Quiet Place to Avengers: Infinity War to Saving Brinton, Hawkeyes have contributed their fair share in Hollywood. Students excel at the University of Iowa and long after they graduate. The creators of the box-office hit A Quiet Place can vouch for that. Childhood friends Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, both Hawkeyes, came up with the idea for the film while students at Iowa.
As our Hawkeyes enjoy a break from classes this week, we wanted to take a moment to give our thanks for our tremendous class of first-year students here at Iowa.

The University of Iowa does accept transfer credits for students who take college courses in high school, as well as credit earned through several exams offered by Advanced Placement Program (AP), College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), International Baccalaureate Program (IB), and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
Visiting campus is the best way to make an informed college choice, so we make it easy for students and families to meet the people at Iowa, ask questions, and take look around. We offer a variety of program options; check them out and encourage your students to register soon, as space may be limited for some events.
The UI is home to many renowned programs for aspiring writers and is a place where all students are afforded opportunities to improve their writing or weave it into their studies.
