First-year students entering the University of Iowa with an interest in fine arts could be eligible for a new scholarship offered through the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
The Dorothy Wirtz Fine Arts Scholarship is awarded to high-achieving first-year students majoring inĀ Art & Art History, Cinema, English-Creative Writing Track, Dance, Music, or Theatre Arts. The scholarship is equal to $2,000 for residents and $4,000 for non-resident students, and is renewable for up to four years.
To be eligible, students must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and a minimum 25 ACT score.
The deadline to apply for the Dorothy Wirtz Fine Arts Scholarship varies by department, so students are recommended to look at the scholarship page for more information about the requirements for theirĀ specific major.
Scholarship winners will be announced by April 15, 2015.
