Reopened residence hall to serve returning & transfer students
Beginning in the fall of 2010, Parklawn Residence Hall will house Community 234, a program developed to provide a living experience tailored for returning and transfer students. Room options will include 1-bedroom and studio “apartments” with double occupancy. Other amenities include kitchens, private restrooms, and nearby parking. Students who live in Parklawn will not be required to purchase a meal plan.
Focused events and programs will aid residents in exploring majors and careers, offer assistance in finding internships, and create a mentorship program on campus. They’ll be invited to join the Vice President of Student Services for monthly dinners to learn about Iowa, the campus community, and networking skills. Finally, an emphasis on community service will give students a chance to give back to their community. Learn more about campus housing
