The University of Iowa has added two new majors for undergraduate students.
- Biomedical Sciences (BS): The interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences major (BS) is designed for the undergraduate student with an aptitude for the sciences and who plans to attend medical school or to conduct biomedical research in graduate school and beyond. It is intended particularly for students preparing for research and/or practice in the chemical, genetic, cellular, physiological basis of human disease.
- Enterprise Leadership (BA): The new Enterprise Leadership major will be administered by the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Management Center in the Tippie College of Business, with the degree awarded by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS). It presents a blend of skills, theory, and content, encouraging students to apply their knowledge and skills to entrepreneurial concepts and ventures.
