The University of Iowa Honors Program has changed its process for admitting students. In the past, any student meeting the minimum requirements automatically was admitted to Honors. Now, eligible students must formally accept an invitation to opt into the program.
Entering first-year students are eligible for Honors with an ACT composite score of 27 or higher (combined SAT Critical Reading and Math score of 1210 or higher) and a high school GPA of 3.80 or higher. Students also qualify with an ACT composite score of 30 or higher (or the SAT equivalent of 1330 or higher) and a GPA of 3.70 or higher.
Admitted students should have been notified of their eligibility but can check for sure on their Admissions Profile on ISIS. To accept the invitation to join Honors, students should visit admissions.uiowa.edu/joinhonors.
